I was shocked, along with all Americans, by the “twin towers” attack.  Then I saw something amazing, our society turning to those deep roots of faith for comfort, perspective, and healing.

 

“Sangre de Cristo Heal Us” has Christ’s crucified and pierced torso over the wreckage of the World Trade Center.  Two columns of blood flow into the debris, and a third hangs in mid-air. 

 

The steel torso is hammered and ground from a crashed Porsche 911 fender.
